How To Recycle Everything

I wanted to point ya’ll towards an incredibly comprehensive article my friend Valerie wrote, which I’m retitling: “How To Recycle Everything” because that’s exactly what it is. She researched the heck out of this thing and it’s a handy resource to have around– so be sure to bookmark the page for future reference.
My 5 year old iPod just died, and now I know that the Apple store will credit me 10% off the purchase of a new one if I bring them my dead one! Cold, hard cash is always a great incentive to get people to recycle…

this is so great!!
I thought that was a great piece, thanks for the link!
One thing I noticed this week was that Ikea accepts batteries for recycling (along with the usual suspects, glass, paper etc.) – I’ve been saving mine for months trying to figure out where the heck I can take them. That battery site your friend featured looked fantastic but a bit daunting. So next time I go to Ikea I will bring along a bag of used AAs!
Also, on an Ikea note, ours (portland) gives $20 off home delivery if you take transit there – the light rail stops across the street from the store. So cool of them.
So, instead of simply throwing your Christmas tree out for the garbage, do something to help the environment! You can get your tree shredded, which makes excellent mulch or even take it to a tree recycling drop-off center in your neighborhood
It has been a long time that recycling has been introduced to the world and the use of recycling and it is sad to hear that 90 % of world is unaware of it.
It’s great to see someone blaze that trail.
