Easy Peasy Tip: Shut Off Your Monitor!

Did you know that a monitor in “screensaver” mode uses just as much energy as when you’re actually using it? That’s because it’s still fully on, displaying your screensaver just as it would display your browser windows and documents. So turn off that screensaver, and tweak your computer’s energy settings to go into “sleep” mode when it’s inactive for longer than 10 minutes or so. You’ll save a whole lot of energy that way!
