DIY: Jewelry Organizer!

By Jenn (TinyChoices.com) | December 18, 2008

I’m loving this supereasy + super-DIY jewelry organizer!  Our friend Cheetah Velour made one, following the video instructions over at ThreadBanger.com– and I think it’s the perfect way to untangle the mess of my inefficient jewelry box situation.  This way I can repurpose an old, already existing frame and give it a new purpose in life… and I bet I can find a small amount of wire screen on Freecycle.  Think I’ll add some longer shoulder hooks to the sides of the frame, to hold all the pretty new bangles I bought in India!

I have a picture frame but haven’t gotten around to putting the screen in yet – inspiring! I will have to do this soon, my earrings keep getting hopelessly hopelessly tangled in the little box I’ve been stashing it in.

I’ve seen this and have all the supplies, but have been too lazy. Thanks for reminding me! What a great idea :)

Okay, for the super lazy, and uncrafty…in the drawer of my bathroom sits a used egg carton, lid removed, and I nestle my jewelry in all the little egg holders…it keeps things more organized in the drawer, and I got to reuse a carton. I’m sure the more motivated organizers among us could decoupage the carton with all sorts of cute things, but I just don’t have the patience for it. :)

What do you cut metal with? I have wire cutters, but when you need a long blade, like for cutting this screen, what should I use?
