What with the economy tanking, many folks are sticking closer to home for their vacations this year– but it’s also a green decision, too. Cut out the airline portion of a holiday and you’ve just eliminated the biggest polluter by far!
If you take a good look at a map, we’ll be there are lots of places within driving distance you’ve never explored– so pack up (or rent) the car and hit the road. Even greener would be packing up your bike and hitting the road, or choosing places to explore which are reachable by train or bus.
