This film is “the world’s first major documentary about the devastating effect of overfishing… Filmed across the world – from the Straits of Gibraltar to the coasts of Senegal and Alaska to the Tokyo fish market – featuring top scientists, indigenous fishermen and fisheries enforcement officials, The End of the Line is a wake-up call to the world.”

i would not mind if i do not win the tickets, but the idea that fish is so good for us, yet so much of it is polluted and farmed is hard to take, now they are being over fished and we will be seeing more species going extinct! wonders when all this will end

how terrible. and to imagine that it takes a documentary and then a lot of articles and conferences for such a serious topic to probably not get chucked aside. when will people realize that taking the earth and its resources for granted is not wise? thanks for posting this.

I work in a restaurant and every time customers ask about our fish I really try to avoid it, and or try not to mention Seabass since fisheries are overfishing them almost into extinction (Seabass are being caught too young and are not able to reproduce enough before we catch them).

I also have let friends/family know..and posted on my blog, about “FISHPHONE” which allows you to text from your phone a number that will text you back whether or not the fish you are about to eat is sustainable and healthy. Here is the website if anyone is interested in adding it to your phone address book..it really is helpful and gives you a sense of what you are eating: http://www.blueocean.org/fishphone/index.html
