Handmade Scarf Drive!
By Jenn | November 12, 2009
Wanted to give a shout-out to the 8th Annual Holiday Scarf Drive, hosted by Supernaturale!
Each year, folks from all over the world send in handmade scarves and hats, which are then distributed as holiday gifts to the women served by Sanctuary for Families:
Sanctuary for Families is the largest nonprofit in New York State dedicated exclusively to serving domestic violence victims and their children. Each year, we help thousands of victims and their children build safe lives through a range of high quality services.
This is a great way to use yarn you’ve already got in your stash, perhaps combining some leftovers from other projects into a new and beautiful creation.
So get yer knit, crochet, weave, or sew on, and mail in a scarf/hat or two by December 10th:

Tell your crafty friends and family about this great cause, and let’s help make this the biggest collection yet.
