Easy Peasy Tip: Consolidate!

Combining things generally makes for less waste, so:
- Cook 2 cups of rice instead of one, and you’ll have leftovers for the week, while using the same amount of energy
- Double your soup recipe, and you’ll have lots for the freezer while increasing your cooking time and energy only slightly
- Wash only full loads of laundry
- Combine trips
- Etc

I’ve been experimenting with different grains as alternatives to oatmeal for hot breakfast cereal. Cooking up a double or triple batch of wheat berries, steel cut oats or quinoa means that most days breakfast is just waiting in the fridge to be microwaved.
