Easy Peasy Tip: Give It Away
By tinychoices | December 19, 2009
If you’re not using it, pass it along to someone else! The “It” in question can be:
- Packaging materials you’ve saved but will never really use
- Scarves gramma gave you but you’ll never really use
- Books you keep meaning to read but never really will
- Extra travel mugs received as gifts from well-meaning loved ones
- Clothes you realisticlly know you will never, ever wear again
When you pass things along– whether to friends, family, colleagues or thrift stores– you’re extending the useful life of already-produced objects… so, set them free!

i keep doing this, one reason that the apartment i live in is SO SMALL, another is my dream is to put everything i own into my car to travel….long way to go, lots of stuff yet, but the ideal is set!!!
Thank you for saying this! We have way too much stuff right now (as most of us Americans seem to these days!) Doing some fixing/insulating of our garage recently has made us very aware of how much stuff we have. Scaling down is absolutely vital to my sanity at this point. I don’t ever want to have another towering pile of boxes leering at me!
For books you can try out book mooch on line. you can then trade your old titles for new ones and then trade them again.
