Easy Peasy Tip: Pack for Every Day (Carefully!)

By tinychoices | June 19, 2010

klarasbag.jpgEvery single one of us packs up and leaves the house at some point on a regular basis, and we all have a whole lot of stuff we carry around. I mean, there’s a Flickr Group called “what’s in my bag!” On the other hand, often we feel like we are toting around the whole world and we just want to simplify. So choose your eco-weapons with care! For example - if you never eat outside of your home, maybe you don’t need a spork - but if you love to stop for ice cream pack it with. If it’s hot weather maybe you don’t need your reusable travel mug, just a water bottle - or if you would rather, just bring your mug with and use it to fill with water in local bathrooms or at water fountains while you’re out and about. If you’ve always got a giant handbag with you, maybe you don’t need to bring a separate compact reusable shopping bag.

Examine what you’re already carrying and try to multipurpose items so you don’t resent bringing your mug AND your bottle AND your bag AND your spork AND… well, you get the idea!

Where have recently you made some combinations that saved space?
