Cats are obligate carnivores and have to have meat to survive. A vegan cat food is a TERRIBLE idea. They *might* be able to make something up with a bunch of added vitamins and stuff that would allow your cat to live, but it’s not natural and it’s not optimal nutrition. Humans have a choice of what to eat but it’s ridiculous to force these choices on pets when it could literally kill them. Ellen needs to do some research.
I was just about to make a similar comment! While not vegan myself, I understand people who are – but it’s a CHOICE, a choice which our bodies allow us to make. Our pets do not have that choice, if we decide to force our own morals onto their completely natural behavior. If you really love animals, you’ll love them the way nature made them, and millennia of evolution made felines into carnivores.
